Parent Support Groups

 

The Fay J. Lindner Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities is excited to announce ongoing


Parent Support and Education Groups

for Parents of individuals with autism spectrum disorders

 

If you answer “YES” to any of the below questions, this group is for you:
• Are you looking for a place to share your thoughts and feelings?
• Are you overwhelmed by all the planning and steps that are needed to secure your child’s future?
• Are you stressed?  Do you feel alone and are you looking for support?
• Do the days fly by leaving you with what seems like endless unfinished work?
• Are you feeling overwhelmed by life responsibilities?
• Do you want to connect with other parents?
• Do you want to learn about resources, navigate the system and network to develop plans for you son or daughter?

 

WHAT: Weekly meetings to include specific topics, networking and support
WHEN: Several times per week or monthly groups
TIME: TBD
WHERE: AHRC Nassau Campus:

Fee: $35 per session

 

The group facilitator, Halley Ceglia, LMSW, is highly experienced in parent support, service development, navigating the system and resources, connecting with communities, developing plans for healthily living, future planning, networking and more.
