Social Group

The Social Group is intended to bring adults that reside in apartments or at home with their families with similar challenges of independent living and competitive employment together.  These challenges are discussed in the hopes that solutions will be offered that everyone can benefit from. 

One AHRC Counselor supports the group in choosing topics of discussion.  This group was created to reach those adults who can socialize in typical public venues but because of their unique personalities may be vulnerable to those who would take advantage of them.  Some evenings may include light recreation activities that would require bringing a few dollars additional to the registration fee.
