Bowling Groups

There are 10 weekly Bowling Groups in 9 bowing alleys in Nassau County.  Each group for adults 21 yrs. and older generally bowls two games and is supported by an AHRC Bowling Coach.  Coaches are primarily a support to adults that live at home with family.  Agency residents must come with enough support to participate. 

All AHRC Bowling Groups enjoy a discounted rate.  The cost of bowling is not included in the annual Registration Fee.  Guests must come with enough money for the two games.  Prices vary slightly but none are more than $6.00.  

AHRC holds an Annual Spring Bowlfest where all the groups get together for one day of bowling lunch and prizes.  Additionally, each group is invited to train from February to April to compete in the Special Olympics “over 21” Bowling Competition held in the spring.
