Camp Loyaltown

Camp Loyaltown AHRC has been a summer haven for children and adults developmental disabilities for 30 years. While the camper experiences the beauty and freedom of the 235 acres nestled in the Catskill Mountains, parents and other family members receive a much-needed, worry-free respite. Thanks to the generosity and compassion of our families and friends, a state-of-the-art infirmary and a specially engineered handicapped-accessible swimming pool have been completed and are serving our campers and staff well.  But much remains to be done for our children.  To ensure the continued safety and comfort of the more than 800 campers that we serve each summer, renovations on the 55 year-old facilities must continue.  We ask for your continued support as we work to raise funds to meet the needs of our special population.  To make a contribution to this campaign please call Community Resources at 516-626-1000 ext. 1138.

Residential Development

AHRC has a large Community Living Program currently serving over 600 individuals.  We are constantly expanding our program to serve those individuals on both our residential waiting list and the New York State CARES waiting list.  The cost of homes in Nassau County well exceeds the allocation given to us by the state for the purchase and renovation of these homes.  Help is greatly needed to enable AHRC to continue to purchase and renovate homes to accommodate the over 400 individuals on our residential waiting list.
