Supported Employment Services

AHRC Nassau's Supported Employment program is committed to achieving the following results for workers capable of community employment:  the individuals will be integrated with non-handicapped individuals in community-based jobs; they will earn wages at above minimum wage; through travel training, each person will have the opportunity to gain independence in the use of public transportation; and, in addition, each job placement will be matched to each person’s interests and skills.  Assistance to maintain the person in the supported employment placement will have no time limit or end date.
