AHRC Nassau, in partnership with family members, is committed to enriching the lives of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. For 65 years, AHRC Nassau has been providing an array of services and family supports for more than 2,200 people with special needs throughout Nassau County. AHRC is accredited by the Council on Quality and Leadership and is recognized as a COMPASS agency the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).

Special Needs, Special Answers


AHRC Board Member Irwin “Tiny” Katz can now add published author to his resume. Mr. Katz recently published “Special Needs Special Answers – Memories and Milestones Toward Hope and Help for Special Needs Children and Parents.” It is a revealing life story of living, learning and growing up with a special needs child from birth to adult life, offering detailed, creative solutions to getting the best for your child.
