Prevocational Services

AHRC Nassau continues to operate a vocational training program at the Freeport center.  This program has been in operation for more than 40 years at this site with a certified capacity for 370 individuals.  In the workshop, individuals receive specific job tasks and skills training with emphasis on speed and productivity.  All individuals are working towards an outcome developed with the person centered approach, whether it be outside employment with the backing of supported employment services or development of their social/personal/communication skills through community-based programming.
