AHRC Nassau and Citizens is pleased to announce “A Peer to Peer” Bereavement Group.
We are extending an invitiation to parents, guardians and adult siblings who have experienced the loss of a loved one with a developmental disability and would welcome a place to speak and to listen to others share their loss and feel the comfort of others going through a similar experience. Leslie Isabelle Levine, a parent who recently suffered the loss of her son Tonico, a long time resident of AHRC Nassau/Citizens will lead this group. It is important to feel you are not alone and there are people that really understand what it is to grieve.
Come share your experience, hope and strength.
This is a peer run group. Professional referrals are available upon request.
