The Blanche Fierstein Award honoring excellence in the pursuit of a special education degree is presented to the 2018 Award Recipient at the AHRC Rose Ball. AHRC Nassau is committed to recognizing and rewarding the efforts of those who work toward a better future for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Blanche Fierstein Memorial Scholarship, a $5,000 scholarship annually awarded to a college student pursuing an advanced degree in the field of special education, is now accepting applications for the 2018 Fall semester.
