Usage Agreement

AHRC Nassau’s DEI Virtual Conference, “Beyond the Comfort Zone: Understanding and Eradicating Injustice, Racism and Inequality in the Field of Developmental Disabilities” May 18, 2022, www.ahrc.org/deiconference


For the Virtual Conference, presenters will share their insight and participate in proactive conversations on the topics shaping a more neurodiverse future for all. If chosen to participate in a breakout session or speaker panel, presenters will be asked to sign a speaker agreement affirming points such as:

-The information shared in my presentation and accompanying materials is accurate and non-commercial.

-I have sole ownership of all components of my presentation and will not include copyrighted materials, without express permission, nor infringe on the rights of others.

-I will not share personal information in any form that might identify a person who has not or cannot consent to his/her/their personal information or image being included in the presentation or materials.

-I understand and agree that no honorarium or payment will be given for my participation in the conference, recording of my presentation, accompanying materials, and/or marketing.

-I am responsible for any and all expenses needed for me to present, including technology.

-I understand and agree that AHRC Nassau may include—in any and all media—my name, biography, likeness, and other information to market or publicize the presentation and conference.

-I understand that AHRC Nassau will become the copyright owner of the recording of my presentation and/or accompanying materials and assign all rights, title and interest to them for one year following the conference.

-I agree to follow The Arc of the United States’ Position Statements, AHRC Nassau’s Usage Agreement, and AHRC Nassau’s Language and Style Guidelines.
