This Thanksgiving, we are thankful for our community and the opportunity to give back.

Every year, people supported by AHRC Nassau contribute more than 200,000 volunteer hours to make a difference throughout Nassau County. The smiles and support given on a daily basis by AHRC volunteers were exemplified by Reggie Israel, Chris Ledour, Billy Jacob, John Buley-Neumar and Mike McCabe, who earlier this week, volunteered at the Veteran Stand Down event. The volunteers greeted veterans, handed out supplies, as well as placed boots and socks in boxes for veterans to take home.
