The Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner on June 5 at the Brookville Mansion welcomed more than 100 friends, family, staff, and supporters to celebrate the extraordinary impact of volunteers across our shared community.
Among the honorees was longtime volunteer Susan Carmen, who received The Lenny Tucker Service Award for contributing nearly 500 hours of volunteer service since 2017. Each week, Susan has shared her creativity with people supported at Oceanside Road—using the power of art to create empowerment through self-expression and connection.
Andrew Hogarty was honored with The Inspire Award for his meaningful support of people residing at Old Britton Road and staff. Going above and beyond, Andrew met all the requirements to create community outings offering new opportunities to build connections and pursue interests. From bowling nights to hospital visits, Andrew’s commitment has developed lasting friendships that continue to uplift and inspire.
April Kloepfer was recognized with The Community Service Award for her dedication to inclusive service projects addressing food insecurity. Over the past five years, she’s helped provide more than 3,000 meals to neighbors in need, while bringing her signature positivity and can-do approach to volunteer projects every week.
Dakota Finney earned The Rising Star Intern Award, having contributed over 200 hours during her internship while earning her Master’s in Public Health from Potsdam University. Her professionalism and dedication made a meaningful impact at Wheatley Farms & Arts Center and beyond.
Together, these remarkable volunteers embody the spirit of service, weaving the fabric of our community ever closer. We thank them—and all our volunteers—for their dedication in building a more inclusive and welcoming community for everyone.
