This seminar is designed for individuals and families looking to learn more about the supports and services available for adults through AHRC Nassau and Citizens Options Unlimited. Attendees will gain valuable insight into a variety of person-centered programs that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Nassau and Suffolk County, including:

  • Day Programs
  • Residential Services
  • Respite Services
  • Community Habilitation Programs

About the Presenters:

Sally Anne BurgessSally Anne Burgess serves as the Vice President of Citizens Options Unlimited, an organization dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centered supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sally brings a wealth of expertise in program development, advocacy, and family engagement, ensuring individuals receive the resources they need to lead fulfilling lives.

 

 

Shaun WeathersShaun Weathers is the Vice President of Operations for AHRC Nassau, one of Long Island’s largest not-for-profit organizations serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With over 20 years of experience—beginning as a Direct Support Professional—Shaun leads AHRC Nassau’s Day, Community, and Residential Habilitation programs, providing services to over 1,200 adults throughout Nassau County. He is also an advocate for disability rights, working closely with key stakeholders and policymakers in New York State.
