Complaint / Grievance System and Policies
Presented by Pam Boyle, Quality Improvement Specialist, AHRC Nassau
Thursday, October 9, 2025
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Making a complaint or filing a Grievance — it is more than just advocating for your family member, it affords the organization an opportunity to address your concerns. It’s a powerful learning experience and a vital part of maintaining fairness and accountability. Here’s what you learn from the process and why it matters:
- You will gain clarity on your family member’s rights and out internal policy and procedures.
- You’ll learn what protections exist and how systems are designed to support fairness, dignity and respect.
- You will learn the difference between a Complaint/Grievance vs. allegations via the Justice Center
Pamela Boyle has worked for AHRC Nassau for 25 years. Previously part of the clinical department providing counseling and education related to sexuality and socialization, she now works as a Quality Enhancement Specialist, supporting the agency’s COMPASS initiatives.
